“Zimmerman has unlimited potential,” said his supervisor, 1st Lt. Douglas Kuhn, the officer in charge of the battalion’s human resources department.
Sgt. Shawn Zimmerman, a paralegal with the 388th Medical Battalion in Hays, Kan., is one of only 28 Soldiers in the 206,000-strong Army Reserve chosen to compete in the Army Reserve’s prestigious “Best Warrior Competition” at Fort McCoy, Wis., 13-17 July.
In addition to his duties as a Reserve Soldier and training for Best Warrior Competition, Zimmerman is working on a degree in business management at Fort Hays State University and intends to earn a commission as an Army finance officer.
