Operating Room Specialist, Ball State Student to Compete

A Rockford, Ohio, Soldier is competing in the Army Reserve’s prestigious “Best Warrior Competition” at Fort McCoy, Wis., 13-17 July.  Spc. Brytanny A. Heitkamp, an operating room specialist with Fort Benjamin Harrison’s 932nd Forward Surgical Team in Indianapolis, is one of only 28 Soldiers in the 206,000-strong Army Reserve chosen to compete for this honor.  

A graduate of Parkway Local Schools in Rockford in 2006, Heitkamp has only been in the Army Reserve for two years, making her one of the more junior Soldiers picked for Best Warrior Competition.

Heitkamp is currently working at being promoted to sergeant and pursuing a Nursing Degree at Ball State University.
