Army Reserve Soldiers and NCOs from across the globe are gearing up for the Army Reserve Command Best Warrior Competition which will be held at Fort McCoy, Wis., Jul. 25-30.
This is the fourth year in a row the Army Reserve is holding a competition to determine who the top Non-Commissioned Officer and junior enlisted Soldier is among the 206,000 Citizen-Soldiers serving at home and around the world.
Winners from this competition will represent the Army Reserve Command at the Department of the Army Best Warrior competition, later this year at Fort Lee, Va.

In 2008, then Spc. David Obray, the Army Reserve Soldier of the Year, went on to win the coveted Department of the Army title, besting 11 other junior enlisted Soldiers representing commands from across the Army. Now Staff Sgt. Obray had the opportunity of a lifetime representing not only the Army Reserve but the entire Army.
