A Higginsville, Mo., Soldier — Staff Sgt. Scott Hackler, a military policeman and 2003 graduate of Lafayette County C-1 High School, is one of only 28 of 206,000 Army Reserve Soldiers competing for this honor.

Hackler has been in the Army for seven and a half years and has been awarded both the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge.  He is currently a Warrior Leaders Course small group leader at the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Academy at Ft. McCoy.

“I entered the Best Warrior Competition because I want to represent my unit and compare my ability to that of my fellow NCOs,” said Hackler.
